About Silver Wolf Enterprises

John Gilbert launched Silver Wolf Enterprises in 1998, offering Durastill water coolers and water products. Wanting to break into the government contracting arena, he applied for and was accepted into SBA’s 8(a) Minority Enterprise Development Program in June of that same year. The 8(a) Program is an essential instrument for helping socially and economically disadvantaged entrepreneurs gain access to the economic mainstream of American society. SBA has helped thousands of aspiring entrepreneurs over the years to gain a foothold in government contracting. Participation is divided into two phases over nine years: a four-year developmental stage and a five-year transition stage.

In 2000, Gilbert diversified his business and branched out into offering food commodities for resale, sold everything from frozen beef to canned peas to the USDA, Silver Wolf Enterprises was very successful in receiving 8 (a) set-a-side contracts in the 9 years of the program.

Graduating from the 8 (a) program in June of 2007 with awards, Silver Wolf Enterprises became a successful GSA Multiple Schedules Contractor supplying Ice machines, water fountains, water coolers , coffee brewers, appliances, Mr. Slim air conditioners, water distillers, water heaters, Goodman heaters.

Silver Wolf Enterprises is also a distributor for American Standard water heaters, commercial and residential. In April 2009, Silver Wolf was awarded a contract to ship American Standard residential water heaters over to Afganistan.

May of 2009, Silver Wolf Enterprises formed a Joint venture, Integrated Solution Services, with a tribally owed 8 (a) company Integrated Solutions located in Poplar Mt. Successfully approved by SBA, we are in process of bidding on 8 (a) solicitations. The joint venture is a vehicle to assist Integrated Solutions, the 8 (a) certified firm, in its business development. Silver Wolf Enterprises has the marketing knowledge, technical expertise in contracting, and access to resources that is essential for the performance of the contract.
